U.S. exports of Cell phones, related equipment increased 0 percent from $33.84 billion to $34.01 billion in 2017 when compared to the same period the previous year, according to WorldCity analysis of the latest U.S. Census Bureau data.

The category ranked No. 7 through December among the roughly 1,265 export commodity groupings as classified by Census. It ranked No. 6 for the last full year with a total value of $33.84 billion, a $933 million, 3 percent decreased over the 2015 total.

Through December of this year, the top five sources of U.S. exports in this category were No. 1 Hong Kong, No. 2 Mexico, No. 3 Canada, No. 4 The Netherlands and No. 5 United Arab Emirates. The top five Customs districts from which Cell phones, related equipment exports left the United States through December were No. 1 Miami, No. 2 Los Angeles, No. 3 New Orleans, No. 4 Laredo and No. 5 New York City.

In the last previous full year, the top five markets for U.S. exports were No. 1 Hong Kong, No. 2 Mexico, No. 3 Canada, No. 4 China and No. 5 The Netherlands.
