Chile’s total trade with the United States was $2.8 billion in January, a change of -1.47 percent from the same month one year ago. The change in exports was -15.59 percent and the change in imports was 15.27 percent. Chile ranked No. 26 among U.S. trade partners in January. It had ranked No. 25 for the same month last year.
The top three U.S. exports by value in January were Gasoline, other fuels, (2) LNG, other petroleum gases, and (3) Civilian aircraft, parts. The top three U.S. imports from Chile, also by value, were Refined copper, alloys, unwrought, (2) Fish fillets, chilled or frozen, and (3) Strawberries, blueberries, etc.. By tonnage, the top three U.S. exports were (1) Gasoline, other fuels, (2) LNG, other petroleum gases, and (3) Wheat. The top three U.S. imports, also by tonnage, were (1) Various forms of salt, (2) Refined copper, alloys, unwrought, and (3) Grapes, fresh or dried.
