Turkey’s total trade with the United States was $2.8 billion in February, a change of 23.60 percent from the same month one year ago. The change in exports was 41.68 percent and the change in imports was 6.50 percent. Turkey ranked No. 27 among U.S. trade partners in February. It had ranked No. 29 for the same month last year.
The top three U.S. exports by value in February were Civilian aircraft, parts, (2) Scrap iron, steel, and (3) LNG, other petroleum gases. The top three U.S. imports from Turkey, also by value, were Gasoline, other fuels, (2) Carpets, including from manmade textiles, and (3) Motor vehicle parts. By tonnage, the top three U.S. exports were (1) LNG, other petroleum gases, (2) Scrap iron, steel, and (3) Coal, briquettes. The top three U.S. imports, also by tonnage, were (1) Portland, aluminous and slag cement, (2) Gasoline, other fuels, and (3) Granite, marble, other stones.
