Latvia’s total trade with the United States was $112.19 million in January, a change of 1.90 percent from the same month one year ago. The change in exports was 14.22 percent and the change in imports was -6.14 percent. Latvia ranked No. 92 among U.S. trade partners in January. It had ranked No. 93 for the same month last year.

The top three U.S. exports by value in January were Ethyl alcohol, (2) Civilian aircraft, parts, and (3) Laser-based medical equipment, parts. The top three U.S. imports from Latvia, also by value, were Particle board, (2) Rum, gin, vodka, other liquors, and (3) Sawed, chipped wood >6MM thick. By tonnage, the top three U.S. exports were (1) Ethyl alcohol, (2) Chicken and other poultry, and (3) Plastics. The top three U.S. imports, also by tonnage, were (1) Particle board, (2) Sawed, chipped wood >6MM thick, and (3) Peat.
