U.S. exports of Bread, pastry, cakes increased 8.97 percent from $306.94 million to $334.46 million through the first two months of 2020 when compared to the same period the previous year, according to WorldCity analysis of the latest U.S. Census Bureau data.

The category ranked 138 through February among the roughly 1,265 export commodity groupings as classified by Census. It ranked No. 151 for the last full year with a total value of $2.1 billion, a $117.3 million, 5.92 percent increase from the 2018 total.

Through February of this year the top trade partners were No. 1 Canada, No. 2 Mexico, No. 3 Saudi Arabia, No. 4 South Korea and No. 5 United Arab Emirates.   • U.S. exports to No. 3 Saudi Arabia increased $2.29 million, 44.87 percent, (2.21 percent market share).
  • U.S. exports to No. 4 South Korea decreased $688,498, 9.85 percent, (1.88 percent market share).
  • U.S. exports to No. 5 United Arab Emirates increased $1.41 million, 38.87 percent, (1.51 percent of all shipments).
