U.S. exports of Hydrides, nitrides, etc. decreased 25.17 percent from $48.24 million to $36.1 million through the first two months of 2020 when compared to the same period the previous year, according to WorldCity analysis of the latest U.S. Census Bureau data.

The category ranked 550 through February among the roughly 1,265 export commodity groupings as classified by Census. It ranked No. 480 for the last full year with a total value of $265.04 million, a $40.2 million, 13.17 percent decrease from the 2018 total.

Through February of this year the top trade partners were No. 1 South Korea, No. 2 Taiwan, No. 3 China, No. 4 Japan and No. 5 India. The leading gateways were No. 1 Port of Tacoma, Wash., No. 2 Port of New York, No. 3 Port of Oakland, Calif., No. 4 Port of Virginia and No. 5 Port of Seattle, Wash..

  • U.S. exports to No. 3 China decreased $3.35 million, 44.99 percent, (11.34 percent market share).
  • U.S. exports to No. 4 Japan decreased $1.22 million, 26.97 percent, (9.12 percent market share).
  • U.S. exports to No. 5 India decreased $2.93 million, 53.62 percent, (7.03 percent of all shipments).
