U.S. exports of Potassic fertilizers increased 21.36 percent from $691.86 million to $839.65 million through the first 10 months of 2018 when compared to the same period the previous year, according to WorldCity analysis of the latest U.S. Census Bureau data.

The category ranked 258 through October among the roughly 1,265 export commodity groupings as classified by Census. It ranked No. 283 for the last full year with a total value of $818.7 million, a $322.49 million, 64.99 percent increase from the 2016 total.

Through October of this year the top trade partners were No. 1 Brazil, No. 2 China, No. 3 South Korea, No. 4 Japan and No. 5 Australia.   • U.S. exports to No. 3 South Korea increased $743,055, 0.84 percent, (10.63 percent market share).
  • U.S. exports to No. 4 Japan decreased $16.41 million, 18.88 percent, (8.4 percent market share).
  • U.S. exports to No. 5 Australia increased $6.58 million, 11.38 percent, (7.67 percent of all shipments).
