U.S. exports of Sunflower, safflow, cottonseed oil decreased 0.41 percent from $15.44 million to $15.38 million through the first two months of 2020 when compared to the same period the previous year, according to WorldCity analysis of the latest U.S. Census Bureau data.

The category ranked 725 through February among the roughly 1,265 export commodity groupings as classified by Census. It ranked No. 727 for the last full year with a total value of $130.03 million, a $9.67 million, 8.04 percent increase from the 2018 total.

Through February of this year the top trade partners were No. 1 Canada, No. 2 Mexico, No. 3 Japan, No. 4 Malaysia and No. 5 Australia. The leading gateways were No. 1 Port Huron Blue Water Bridge, Mich., No. 2 Port Laredo, No. 3 Detroit Ambassador Bridge, Mich., No. 4 Port of Oakland, Calif. and No. 5 Calexico/Mexicali (East) Border Crossing, Calif..

  • U.S. exports to No. 5 Australia decreased $1.46 million, 78.05 percent, (2.68 percent of all shipments).
